August 2024 – News from Kirpal Sagar

Here you will find some pictures of Kirpal Sagar from the last six months.

In March, asphalting began on a road around Kirpal Sagar, which improves the connection between the hospital and the project’s own car workshop and store, and to the public road network to the east. It will also create a traffic-calmed zone around the Sarovar, as the old people’s home, farm and workers’ accommodations can now also be accessed from the outside. The road to the main gate of Kirpal Sagar is also currently being widened and paved.

A 50 kW peak module has been added to the solar plant so that Kirpal Sagar can sustainably cover the growing demand for electricity for air conditioning etc. due to the ever increasing summer heat.

In August, on the occasion of the 50th death anniversary of Sant Kirpal Singh, larger celebrations were held again. Beforehand, as usual in summer, the Sarovar was emptied and thoroughly cleaned by helpers from East and West.

After cleaning, fresh water from the Himalayas was poured in again on 15 August with a small celebration as every year.

On this day, whole India celebrates its Independence Day. The students of Kirpal Sagar Academy prepared a colourful programme with traditional dances and songs on the occasion.

On 21 August, the assembly hall was filled with guests and Sant Kirpal Singh and his work were honoured with Shabads (hymns) and speeches that touched the heart. A video summary, mostly in the local language Punjabi, can be found here:

Finally, a few impressions from Kirpal Sagar in August. There is an indescribably beautiful atmosphere in the Sarovar every evening.
