The Kirpal Harbhajan Public School was opened in 2001 in memory of Sant Kirpal Singh and Dr Harbhajan Singh. It is located in front of the gates of Kirpal Sagar, so that it can be easily reached by the children of the surrounding villages. There, an opportunity for education is given to children whose parents would otherwise not be able to afford it.
The school starts with two kindergarten classes, followed by ten comprehensive school classes. English is taught from the very beginning. Currently there are about 400 children enrolled. A scholarship for the Kirpal Sagar Academy is awarded to talented children, who have the chance to finish the secondary level after two more years in the Academy.
